I am running version 0.4.3
When I try to connect to a local server by leaving the address blank, I get a screen that shows address with a proceed button underneath. I went to advanced and was able to start one that way, but my gf can't connect. We are trying to use hamachi but that isn't doing anything. I don't know how to create a server that her and I can play on together. Can someone please help, preferably with directions that are easy to follow for someone who doesn't know anything about servers.

Thats what you should be doing. If she cannot connect then it may be a firewall on your PC. Try disable the firewall for a short time to see if that is the issue.
