How to get mods to work?
Posted: Wed Oct 10, 2012 22:45I have been trying to get mods to work forever but they just never work. It always says there is a ModError when I try and load the game. Help?
At least getting an ModError means you are putting them in the right place!
Probably you need to change the name of the mod folder to the mod name (most of the time rename by deleting the authors name and all the version numbers) edit: or you miss a mod the mod is depending on.
If you still have trouble, exit minetest completely, go to your home folder/directory, delete the debug.txt file, start minetest up again. Try to create/start a game, leave minetest again, go to your home folder, doubleclick on debug.txt to open it with your default text editor, search for ERROR (most of the time the bottom part), copy all those error lines and paste them here.
