I have just downloaded this game, but it wont open. Whenever I open the minetest.exe file, it pops up a message: This application has failed to start because zlibwapi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Please help! I really want to play this game :)

Here you can find different downloads of minetest:
http://minetest.net/download.phpDid you extract/unzip everything on the right place?
The zlibwapi should be in this directory: DIR/zlib125dll/dll32/zlibwapi.dll Do you have it there, elsewhere or not at all on your computer?

Download and install this (Uninstall it afterwards)
It will download and place the .dll file in the right place so you don't have to. Minetest should run perfectly after this.
To install-

I have tried the previous versions and they all don't work... Yes, I have not modified anything. I use WinRAR trail version for my .ZIP files. I'm not sure what directory is or if it's there, but all I know is I have NOT modified everything

Are you sure WinRAR is unzipping the .ZIP files? I thought it was for unzipping .RAR files. Why dont you use Winzip to unzip? Did you see it unzip the files or are you trying to start minetest from a zipped file (in other words, are you sure Minetest is unzipped)?
If you did unzip minetest, you could use the search function of Windows to look for the zlibwapi.dll file. I would expect the /zlib125dll/dll32/ directory should hang under the minetest directory you created by unzipping. Try to find out if you miss the dll32 directory or even the zlib125dll directory. If you only miss the zlibwapi.dll you could try irksomeduck's solution.
I only use Linux so it's difficult for me to understand what could have gone wrong. My guess is that the error is somewhere in the unzipping proces. Maybe users of Windows recognize what causes this error so they can help you out better than I can.
I understand you didn't modify a thing, actually I didn't think that you would have.
