FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hi!

I am new to minetest. Its working fine on Ubuntu 11.4 as far as i can see, but i have a problem, which i think is not a bug but just my stupidity.

I cant get any material. In creativity mode only the MESS-Axe does any effect to the landscape but even there i cant get any ressources out of the map.

What am i doing wrong?

Ah, sorry minetest version is 0.3.1. if this helps...

It doesn't help without logs. Run minetest from any terminal and try to do something, then check the log in the terminal. Also there shoud be debug.log somewhere.

As far as i know in Creativity mode you can't collect anything, you can erase blocks, and you can put infinitely blocks from you inventory, no crafting or so.

And just to check that you do it right: you don't expect block to be digged from one click? You need to hold the mouse button for 1-2 seconds to dig one block.
