For Some reason I can only add 3 mods to the game. When I do a sign showsup that says error loading mod and yada yada yada. I'm not quite sure why this is, if I put more than three does the game crash? Is that's what's happening?

It's probably related the the specific mod you tried to install, not the number of mods. We need more information to help further; when reporting problems, please post the last bit of your debug.txt to http://pastebin.com and post the link here. Also, the name of the mod would be useful.

Menche is right. It could be the wrong folder name, a missing dependency, an outdated mod or a not up to date/corresponding minetest version.

You can also delete your debug.txt without problem. Then reproduce the error. Open your (automatically created) new debug.txt. Go down and copy all the lines with ERROR before it. Paste them in a post under this or the mod's topic.

(If I play a few times, my debug.txt becomes too big and doesn't display the most recent information anymore)

well there were way more than three mods that I attempted to install, but em out one by one and kept trying to start minecraft and the same error kept showing up, and it kept doing that until I got down to 3, so that's where my assumption came from but I will post the debug txt as soon as I can.
