FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I need help to upgrade Minetest 0.3.1 to 4.4.
I had try to install the packages "Stables Releases" but i don't understand how to work and what I had to install.
I use Linux Mint 14. (I'm French)

No, once you execute the command you have a working version.

So it's verry strange because when I close the terminal I don't have the version 4.4 !

It must be somewhere under your user name. Maybe the example of the path to my minetest executable helps you to find it (file manager Lubuntu 12.10):

/home/topywo/celeron55-minetest-30b9a4d/bin

I have look everywhere but I can't see the folders ! :(

.minetest

in the root folder of your os
