RWhen I play minetest sometimes the player will suddenly start dieing! I am running minetest 0.4.4. I only started seeing this problem recently but it doesn't happen when enable damage is off. I would really love some help with this because I keep working on awesome survival maps that the get messes up by this problem.

Do you use simple mobs or mobf?
There is a bug in 0.4.4 where mobs are attached to the player and keep damaging him.

I use mobf but it is a really old version and only thing to attack you is the wolf!?

I recommend to update to 0.4.5 since the bug is fixed there.

But I hate the 0.4.5 version I would rather stay on 0.4.4! Is there anything I can change to fix 0.4.4???

0.4.4 has that bug, 0.4.5 doesn't. You either deal with the bug, upgrade, or hack the source code yourself. No one's going to write a fix for 0.4.4, because we've moved on to 0.4.5.
What about 0.4.5 don't you like? Depending on what it is, using minetest_game 0.4.4 with Minetest 0.4.5 might be the solution.

Is that minetest_game from 0.4.4 or 0.4.5? Also, could you post a list of the "mods" you use? It looks like one of them is calling default.generate_ore() incorrectly.

I'm on minetest 0.4.5 and the only mods I have are the default and technic with the files that come with it.

Technic defines ores. Try removing technic, and see if it still crashes. If removing technic fixes the error, talk to RealBadAngel. Technic is to complex for me to debug.

I know it works without the technic installed so I guess I need to go tell realbadangel!
