stairs stopped working in 0.4.6

with 0.4.6 and the previous build (24.03.13) from xyz, I have lost the ability to craft any stairs.
This is annoying.
I notice there are a list of mods in games/common. Are these activated automatically, even if I import a world from a previous version?
Should I add a stairs mod?

Stairs is in common but its loaded from all the default games. It doesnt depend on the world but on the game, so as long as you have minetest_game and common up to date it should work.

I am using the 0.4.6 build from xyz on windows 7, so it is up to date.
I added the following mods:
moreblocks, homedecor, plant-master, mobf, moreores, unified inventory and a few minor ones.
I tried crafting simple straight stairs with cobblestone or stone and ...NOTHING!
Any idea why?
On previous releases, I had no problem crafting stairs.

Moreblocks uses the circular saw now. Perhaps you ought to try to craft one and see if your stairs work with it.

Thanks Sokomine: after I removed moreblocks, I could make stairs again.

Try out the circular saw :-) After all, I wrote that to facilitate handling of stairplus-nodes. You can recycle material and do not have to remember receipes anymore. For stairs, that is not particulary important, but there are more complex shapes in stairsplus (microblocks, three-quarter-high blocks etc.).

I crafted a circular saw, but I found no description of how to use it in the moreblock thread.

Put the block you want to turn into stairs (or other shapes) into the input slot. The machine will then offer you all the shapes there are. Just draw them out of the machine like you would with a chest. Unused stairs etc. can be placed into the recycle-slot.

OK, I just needed to understand that it works like a furnace or a chest.
Thanks
