Whenever I go to a server it says "Connecting to server..." and I almost wait for hours! please help!

The screen that should show the progress when connecting is broken when you use TTF (official windows build has TTF).
Connecting to a server takes quite long if the server has many mods installed.

Disable your firewall (or allow Minetest).
