FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I want to change the sounds of minetest.Where can I found the sounds folder.I also found this media folder but I don't know what app should I use to open it.

The media folder contains the media your client downloaded.
To change the sounds go into "games/common/mods/default/sounds"
