Servers are taking forever to load

by SmileyJester » Thu Jul 04, 2013 05:04

I don't know if this is a bug or glitch but whenever I go on multiplayer and connect to a server it always takes an hour or never to load and all it says is the usual
connecting to server...(press escape to cancel)
Can someone please help I really want to enjoy the many and amazing minetest servers that people have put their heart and soul in,I'd really appreciate it! :D

Make sure that the servers are actually online, and also I would recommend disabling 'preload item visuals' in the settings tab. Then, just wait I guess.
Some Mods: Castles Prefab Camouflage
My Games: Nostalgia Realtest Revamped
Servers: See above games.

Preload item visuals has nothing to do with this.

As already said, make sure that the server is up. If it still takes ages then I guess your internet connection is not very good.

Another approach:

- try another Windows build or
- (re)install/compile minetest (Linux)

and try again.
