A very strange thing. Lag on singleplayer, but not in servers.

I got really mad at this. On singleplayer, I seem to lag really badly. But when I go onto servers, I'm fine. I have 0.4.6 Minetest. Any help will be appreciated.

1) Update to 0.4.7
2) In singleplayer your computer is running a virtual server, and simulating you. So it is doing 2x the work in singleplayer.

Lag isn't "slow performance", don't mix both. Lag is latency, while slow performance (low FPS) is just having a game that feels like a slideshow.

Because your client is actually running its own server in singleplayer, these settings may help with performance.

Gotcha.

1) I am not an administrator. 2) I see.

Ill try those settings out now.

Menche: Thanks for those settings, seem to work. I still get a little slow performance (Thanks Calinou), but, hey, that does not bother me. :). And, Dan, thanks for that info. Technically, thanks for helping! :D
