To reproduce, left or right click on two or more lines of text in a formspec textarea.
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
minetest: ../../include/irrString.h:330: T& irr::core::string<T, TAlloc>::operator[](irr::u32) [with T = wchar_t, TAlloc = irr::core::irrAllocator<wchar_t>, irr::u32 = unsigned int]: Assertion `!(index>=used)' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

Minetest: 0.4.7 stable & current git
OS: xubuntu 12.04

According to synaptic it's version 1.7a, what version would you recommend?

Minetest needs Irrlicht 1.7 or higher, 1.7.2 and 1.7.3 should usually work fine.

Actually, I see it is version 1.7.2+dfsg1-1.1 but when I try to update it says I already have the most recent version installed.

OT: How do you guys generally install irrlicht? I just sudo apt-get install libirrlicht-dev and this is what I get. Should I be building and installing irrlicht from source?

It turns out that opengl was the problem. I recently replaced my antiquated gfx card and the subsequent opengl update from 2.? to 3.3 has resolved this issue for me.
