FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I want to create and edit a world for adventures. That is, I will create a world for my friends to play and discover (in singleplayer)
The problem is ... I can not really desativer definitely a creative way. The creative mode must be activated only for me edit and create the world. Then you must be disabled forever. I do not want players trapassem. I want them to unveil.

At first I thought it was possible simply deleting the folder in mod "creative" (default) after the end of creation.

I think minetest should have a solo career. With missions and story.

Creative mode is not a per-world settings, your friends just need to disable it in the menu.

But this adventure is for everyone. There can be no cheating! There has to be some locking device.

It's their problem if they cheat and spoil the fun for themselves, isn't it?

Well, there is a gamemode mod which allows you to change the gamemode in-game. But has no lock. Well, all you need to do is not tell your friends about it. xD.

Alright! I just want they can not simply activate the creative world of adventure. Explain it to me better.

You do /gamemode to change the gamemode.

The only thing you do is not change your friends about that mod on the adventure map, and they wont be able to go into creative. :).
