how to edit LUA files in windows 8 help please!

I have been wanting to make a mod but cant seem to open LUA files on my windows 8 laptop can someone tell me how to open them, it would be much appreciated.

Just use a texteditor, like notepad. I would recommend one with syntax highlighting, though, like Notepad++.

Lua for Windows has a Lua Editor included

K coz in windows vista it gives the option to open in notepad, im not on my laptop yet but i dont think it gives me the option to open in notepad, just to get a app of the store to open it.
I definately have notepad though :P

Windows sucks, you should use a a OS that actually gives you the ability to open files (like Linux).

I don't think you have to say this in almost evers topic. Everybody has a prefered OS, can you can't change that.

Windows does have its highs and lows (its good enough for me though :P) now making my mod

If you want to download use notepad++
Otherwise right click and open with word pad not notepad

They are good, but they are kind of difficult to learn for someone who is new to code editing. For windows, I would use notepad++.
