ok, so i was on the IRC channel and i asked about the video_driver stuff... (all that can be put in video_driver in minetest.conf)
I tried software, and thats what i saw:

The textures are deleted, they are only dummies there.

That is a bug with the Irrlicht/Burningsvideo Software Driver.
