Death by minetest

So, when I play mintest for an extended period of time, the computer freezes, with absolutely no way to recover and I have to force a restart. I'm using ubuntu 12.04 and minetest 4.7 and was wondering if others are experiencing the same problem, or if anyone knows of any solutions.

Thanks for any help!

Caused by overloading resources after playing for reeeAAAAlllLLlyyyyyy long periods of time. My minetest (0.4.7) on xubuntu takes up about 2 GB on extended periods of play. Though I think it could be normal, pasting the last few lines of your log won't hurt.

Try downloading and running the daily build of Minetest as many bugs have been sorted which could fix your memory leak...

I'm only playing it for about an hour when it happens. I think I'll try the debug log.

And I may try the daily build, cause if it's already been fixed, that'd be nice.

any suggestions of a good post-release build?
