I upgraded my server 0.4.7 to 0.4.8.
I am getting the following error:

The same is happening to me. My server does not appear on the public list even though I checked it off.

Hello,

0.4.8 works fine in standalone, but when I connect to redcrab, I see nothing but a dark screen and I can't seem to be able to do anything apart from chatting:

This isn't really the same problem as stated above. You should note that redcrab's server is using 0.4.4-dev, so that could cause some compatibility issues. Though, using 0.4.8-dev, I can play on redcrab's server without any issues.

Edit: After leaving, then rejoining the server, I experienced exactly the same thing as you. I think the environment hasn't loaded, but I may be wrong.

The problem connecting to redcrab's server has since been fixed in git. Try the latest development build.
