FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I was in game for several hours last night, and wouldnt you know it. MT Crashed. not a major deal, but the crash corrupted the world that i was in. Now i cant run that particular world. all others work fine.

here is the question. is there any way to recover a corrupted world?
i found some cool stuff in that world and there is no way for me to find it
again by starting over.

here is the alarm i get:
ERROR: serialization error occured
Server Environment: LoadMeta(): EnvArgsEnd not found
