I downloaded and compiled the latest version from git and when I created a new world and hit enter on the keyboard instead of clicking the create button I got this error. I hit enter again and it clears the dialog box and the world starts normally. It's the first time I've gotten this and have been playing minetest since 3.x.

The menu recently got ported to Lua. This bug appears to be a comparison in that new Lua code. It's not surprising you didn't see it in past versions.

prestidigitator, you are incorrect. This has nothing to do with the menu having been ported to Lua. The menu was converted to Lua some weeks ago, but this bug was introduced just a couple of days ago due to an unrelated feature upgrade to the Lua API.

Necron099, roll your copy back to commit 2b1eff7725 and rebuild and it should work.

The Lua menu was in 0.4.8, too.

Okay. No worries. I was simply saying the comparison appears to be in mainmenu.lua, so it isn't too surprising necron099 hasn't seen the bug despite having played since very early versions.

I did what VanessaE said and the bug isn't there. Thanks.
