Hello,

Today on my server, 5 mins ago:

The weird thing behind: no worldedit installed, yesterday was everything fine there and i found coal-ores in that block, which came from the "void"?!

How is this possible?

is that a pumkin with water behind the fence or glow stones?

Doesn't matter - keep a look at the "overwritten" stonebrick ways, and then a 16x16 block of new terrain.

A mapgen bug, probably. Happens quite frequently on my server.

Do you have any idea what caused it? When the server was restarted? When you joined the server as singleplayer?

Well, when server started, nothing happened wrongly. After a while I saw a destroyed street, I repaired it and about 3 crashes or restarts later it began to create caves/holes verywhere.
I changed some little things in the mapgen but generated area means generated = NOT needed to generate again'!?!?!

We thought it could be the moretrees which cause that, but now we can't decide if it already was that way or if it's new, after disabling moretrees.

Server != My gaming computer.
Therefore not a cause.

Maybe your hard drive become old, so that corrupt part in the map.sqlite file ?
you should use checkdisk / fsck.

Something like this happened to me today. It happened when i tried running 2 servers at one time. The area around spawn got completely regenerated:

^ You can't see it that well but basically that used to be land. It is now water.

I was trying to figure out what happened on IRC today.

Seems this is not just a one off occurrence. My server uses 0.4.9-dev maybe its a problem with the version.
Well I'd reccomend making daily backups. I had to revert world back 2 days after this happened, players will not be very happy.

And I only made an update when it already was destroyed...
Well, IT SHOULD NOT BE! I hope for an instant fix of that problem. A server must see if the area/chunk is already generated or not.

Yep this is the error I got. Basically I think it means that it thought that the area had not been generated yet. When it had.

12 days later again the SAME problem!
The only thing which accessed to the mapdata was minetest!

Luckily I have a backup, from today morning

HELL GUYS, AREN'T YOU ABLE TO FIX OR HELP US WITH THIS?

EDIT: Okay, I maybe found the cause: my antivirus program scans in the background all active programs, and that made the map "crashing".
