It would be a lot easier if I could read it :P

So, is the program not responding, or the entire computer?

also, have you considered 4.9-dev?

I'll translate the error window.
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
minetest.exe

minetest.exe is not responding

Windows can check online for a solution. If you close the program, you may lose data.

-> Check a solution and close the program.

-> Close the program

-> Wait for the program to respond.

Downloaded in minetest.net
I believe that should work. 99% of players should download as well.

I'm using BlockMan's win32 build and don't have any problem.
Maybe you could use an "unofficial" version and look if it still has those problems?

I do not know where to find these versions.
I hope that this bug is not repeated in procimas versions.

the unofficial builds are just below the "stable" windows builds the area looks like this:

Minetest Download Page wrote:Unofficial builds

These builds are made by community members and more recent than the official builds, containing new features (may cost stability).

sfan5
xyz
PilzAdam
BlockMen
Fess

I went ahead and linked the sites.

Hoo course, unofficial version.
But these are compatible with the official?

these are the bleeding edge versions, typically. They may have some other features too. I know BlockMen was writing the code to add a third person view to the client. I'm not sure if he merged that into this version, but it is in one of his builds. I'd say download them, try them out, and see which one you like. you can go ahead and just create a folder that holds your mods, worlds, textures, etc. and just transfer those into the version you are currently using. the cost is potential stability, but looking at what is happening for you, that may just be what you gain.

I personally felt more comfortable with the daily 4.9 over the stable. i think this release was a little rushed.
