i have installed the stable 0.49 of minetest and installed unified dyes in minetest with the online mod repo
where is the problem?

If I remember rightly, the unified series of mods have a bunch of dependencies - Mods that must be installed in order for a certain mod to work. See if your installed mod meets all dependencies by using the menu for enabling mods.

in the topic of ud it says: Minetest 0.4.7 or later and the usual minetest_game default stuff.
so it is nothing special with dependecies

Default wool can only have 15 different colors (see wiki.minetest.net/Wool). Unified dyes is a tool which makes it easier for other mods to support (much) more than these default colors. It doesn't automatically let you have any block in every unified color. So you can color wool red or black but not a mix of them, as the default:wool doesn't support these mixed colors. Maybe you can find a mod which lets you have more colors for wool ([cotton] by Jordach?).
