This problem has been repeated in a few posts, but no one has posted a client side answer. Basically, you connect to the server normally and then BOOM! This line is spammed in your chat and the rest of the screen other then the hand is grey:
ERROR[main]: draw_hotbar(): mainlist == NULL
I have tried reinstalls, other computers, EVERYTHING I know of... not sure about singleplayer worlds but it will always fail to connect.
Please help....

this is a bug due to a new function in the dev versions of minetest i would either compile the source code or download a dev build
