Truncated posts (a forum problem)

by Menche » Sat Feb 04, 2012 02:24

Sometimes, when I post something to the forum, the forum asks the username of the game's developer, and only part of what I typed is actually posted. I understand using the question to prevent spam, but why are the posts truncated?

An innocent kitten dies every time you top-post.
I am on the Voxelands Forums more often than here.

I can confirm this bug it happens to me about 2 of 3 times when I'm asked for developers name.

EDIT1: it seems to be related to Ubuntu/Firefox can anyone confirm this suggestion?

normaly I don't use " in posts so I don't think so. At least I can't imagine 2 of three types but if ' is a problem too it might be that.

EDIT1: I'll try so ignore my next posts in this thread

Ok truncation occurs far before first " BUT if I press Edit I see everything until the first " ... at least at this try.

EDIT1: ok ok as there aren't spaces within my test output line isn't broken down so yes seems to be the " thats making problems

This just happened to me. It truncated the message right at the first "
I don't know how helpful this will be, but I am on Windows Vista running Firefox.

If it happens, hit the back button twice and copy the text out of your original post, then go paste into the truncated text post with it.
