I have made a Spanish translation for minetest.
It is not complete, but it's a start.

What should be the next step to get this to upstream ?

Hi, I'm the person who syncs the translations (see pull request). Someone just has to pull them in. When you're ready, of if anyone sees that there's new translation and the pull request is not updated, please contact me some way.

EDIT: Pull request is now updated. Spanish included.
