Minetest for PSP?

by TG-MyinaWD » Thu May 08, 2014 21:58

Has anyone thought of making Minetest work on a PSP before?
I know we can maybe make a way can run mods and add mods, in a Folder and same for other stuff if program it all the right ways.

But if anyone really like the idea playing Minetest on PSP Then, vote "Yes there should"
I'm a Transgender no shame about it.
I prefer to be considered as a "Girl/Lady/Miss/Madam/Female" for now on.

I think that our devs already have a lot on their shoulders... If you want to try, go for it.

In my opinion, doing Minetest for PSP would be very sketchy, especially since Minetest is continually evolving and expanding, and I don't think PSP is particularly friendly to all the mods available for Minetest. I just think it wouldn't work out too well, and even if it could be coded, the amount of work that would go into updating it would be deadly.

Actually, I was thinking that the way to implement it would be to have a flag for it in the node definition. Something like MAPLIKE or whatever.

I'd rather the core developers and main contributors focused on fixing bugs, optimization and new features aimed for the PC version. That isn't to say that someone else could make a port.

I haven't actually seen a PSP in five - ten years, they still exist :-O.
:-) I kid, they have been bringing out new versions, but no-one I know bought one.

Minetest PSP, Minetest Wii - both highly requested, and both highly unlikely to happen. I won't explain why.

Lamecraft is a very capable PSP homebrew. The latest fork in a long family of forks has been released. take a look at it @ Wololo.net/.

Sorry for necroposting.

If I had a PSVita or a PSP, then I would look into this. I want handheld minetest, but currently I don't have any handheld devices.

I have a PSVita, but last time I checked the main dev language is C#, and getting something in the store is expensive.

There's always brute-forcing your device and voiding your warranty.
