[mod] Bundles [bundles]

Hello everyone!

I put together this mod the other day and thought I'd throw it up here. :)

It's nothing fancy and it took about two minutes to code but I hope to add on to it.

This mod adds stick bundles (along with a paddle if you have PilzAdam's boats mod) to minetest.

While this is not my first mod, it's the first one I'm releasing. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Also seeing as I would like to add on to this mod, I'm open to ideas.

Hello (newbie?)!

Your mod is a nice start but it contains not enough items/features.

Without the boats mod, it only adds a stick bundle, which reduces the used space by 66.6period%.
The paddles are a nice idea but they have no effect on speed.

I quite agree, I had originally made this mod for fuel, but wanted to add on to it, that's partly why I put it up here, I was hoping someone might have some ideas for it.

As for the paddle, I'm looking at the boats mod, hopefully it will be able to make you go faster.

... because using this for bundles would offer a much better "compression ratio".

Since sticks are cheap to craft, it wouldn't necessarily make your alternative boat recipe too costly.

Also what does everyone think of stick blocks? (I'm thinking that would be cool for houses :) )

The bamboo mod has something similar to that (blocks made from cane). I only ever used them for a fence.

Incidentally, how did you imagine that your paddle would work? Would the player simply be weilding it, or would he need to be punching with it propel the boat, or would one (or two) be crafted with a boat to make a faster boat?

My plan was to have the boat go faster when you punch with the paddle, however we'll see what ends up happening, it may be easier to do wield or crafting like you were mentioning.
