.blend file for creating 3D block renders

by Calinou » Mon Apr 16, 2012 19:35

I've made some 3D renders for the wiki using Blender. This could be useful to mod and texture pack authors.

The model has 1 cube and 3 planes that can be used to have different textures on each face. Don't forget to make them visible/invisible when needed (by clicking on the camera icon in the right panel).

“Plane” is the top texture, “Plane.001” is the right side texture, “Plane.002” is the left side texture, and “Cube” is just a cube (useful for creating a lot of renders of blocks with one texture quickly). Slab and stair variations are available as well.

By default, all renders are 150 × 150 PNG and they are anti-aliased.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but does it easily support node boxes? I extract the 3d images for my gamewiki, but I think using this blend I would have to make each image by hand, and not sure if it supports node boxes. Thanks for any tips.

How exactly do I use this? I'm so confused, my brain is hurting. I tried some Google searches, but still

This is great!

One problem though, the Plane.002 isnt rendered by default (basically the render flag in the top right is not set) in the .blend file. You might want to fix that.
