I would like to start a new project, another game for minetest engine.
We all are different players (and yes, age counts) we all may have different ideas whats needed, necesary or a must have.
I would like to make a game with technic twist, include mesecons there and make a pack, rdy to play.
With mesecons, moretrees, moreores, technic included as a base.
I dont like minimalism and minecraftism that PilzAdam is forcing and would like to make it different way.
The question is: do you want to have such game?
And whos willing to help?

This would be nice. A technology-based game.
Edit: I like minimalism, but minetest_game is waaay too minimalistic to be playable IMHO.

I had the idea for a tech based game for a while. I would prefer not to include moretrees, as it lags my game pretty badly. I was thinking of calling it OpenTech, or TechBox, or something like that.

I dont like forks in the meaning of having to install yet another minetest but I'd love to have more choices of how to play the game. So having more games within Minetest would be great. Maybe someday a sort of internal hypergrid is intigrated. This way one could construct a game with ingame advances through levels ... like minimalistic to technic. For now I have several parallel installs. Not the best way to go in the future.

I don't know whether I would play this game a lot.
However, I think minetest should be about freedom.
Not only the freedom to do with code, sound and textures almost anything you want.
But also the freedom to choose between different games.
Although I do think the default game should be minimalistic and very much like minecraft,
I can't think of a reason why there shouldn't be games which explore the possibilities of the engine and are more complex.
