Just delete the cache file. I don't know where the directory is. After you do so, start up minetest and check the texture. I haven't had to do this a lot

Are you using dev-post-january? If so celeron stated on a post that the special directory for textures(minetest/textures) doesn't work. You have to replace the default_*.png, in minetest/games/mesetint/mods/default/textures, those are the default textures, the ones you have to replace.

First of all you need to know your minetest version. Open minetest and look at the top-left corner of the window. What version is it?

make sure your new textures have default_ in the beginning then place them in C:\Users\InfinityMiner\minetest\data\mods\default\textures, and replace all

You can also replace the default ones in "minetest-0.4.dev-20120122-1-win32/data/mods/default/textures". Make sure they are named correctly (with "default_"). And remember to remove the cache folder inside your minetest directory.

do you mean leave the textures by themselves in the main section where you find data, bin, etc?
