I saw Desert Mod 1.0 and thought, why can't we have a mod that makes the entire map a snowy wasteland?

It should be easy to code, just add and raillike node on top of grass and everything else, not under ground, must check above node, and slight snowflakes falling to add to the effect.

Nice idea. If used with jeija's modified raillike nodes, maybe with some more tweaks, it might give the effect of deep snowbanks on hills. And would it be possible to have it limited to random areas, and have desert and normal also?

I might not be a LUA coder but I would say "Yes" for this idea, P.S. Maybe this could be for a Seasons Modification.

Like seasons but a arctic enviroment, no trees, no nuthin, at the start you are given little food and tools.

Erm, not too limited areas, WE ARE TRYING TO DIFFERENTIATE, remember, so a whole thing like Finland (when it snows) or arctic places, your choice, and there should be a line to say, TREES_ON = yes (for trees and) no for none.

this is in the wrong section! but good idea ...i think that air should be an abm which could spawn snow flakes like in sfan5's particle mod ..and when the flakes touch a node..it gets covered in snow (raillike)

oh yes of coarse, its more like an encyclopedia linking subjects together for relevence(in some way SOMETIME) it is wrighten by normal people that can put whatever
