Few mins ago i was just siting on a toilet and thinking: tenplus made a mobs redo mod with chickens that are able to lay eggs (as nodes!) So i was wondering if its possible to make non player placed nodes disapear in about a sec and wouldnt that mess anything up on quit (singleplayer) or server restart (multyplayer) if lua entity placed nodes can disapear without any help from players or nodes near it we might be able to make glowing mobs!!!
That would be wery great! So is it possible or not?

it should be possible, the mob or entity that you want to place the light would just place an object that has no mesh or texture and just creates light, on creation you'd have to start a timer, a couple seconds, and then the timer would remove the node after the time was up.

There are light-emitting flies in the Lord of the Test subgame. They are tiny, but they give off light and fit well into the scenery. Perhaps that's what you're looking for?
