Let's Cooking!
Make Fire, Put food, and Wait until roast!
But, If you roast too much...

Put skewerfood nearby Openfire.

in some second, it will be cooked, ...and carboned.

Update!
How about hot soup?
1:craft empty pan.
2:mix food into pan.(craft)
3:put raw_pan near Openfire, and wait.(pans do NOT carbon. Don't rush!)

Punch cooked pan to Eat. We can eat it several times, and can share it!
(but we cant bring hot soup. it too hot. Just empty pan returns.)

Recipe:
[____][torch][____]
[wood][wood ][wood] -> OpenFire

[copper][______][copper]
[copper][copper][copper] (or bronze_ingot) -> Empty pan

[food] (meat,fish,corn,potato)
[stick] -> skewerfood

[empty_pan][tomato][potato][carrot] -> raw minestrone
[empty_pan][meat][potato][carrot] -> raw nikujyaga(Japanese stew. means "meat and potato")
[empty_pan][bucket_milk][corn] -> raw cornsoup
[empty_pan][bucket_milk][pumpkin] -> raw pumpkinsoup

Dependencies: none
(but, Need some Mod(s) to craft skewerfood and raw pan)
Recommends :
* farming_plus , Farming Redo (any one(or more))
* mobs , creatures, ccmobs , spidermobs (any one(or more))
* fishing, ethereal (any one(or more))

Yeah I like the openfire, one of those things that make you think, why was this not part of default!?

When I barbeque in the yard, I make a pit by surrounding kindling/logs with cinder blocks and put an iron grate on top when the wood becomes coals.... cheap and tasty!

I wish I could find one of those cast iron hibachi I used to see everywhere as a kid....

the mod looks good
but pls do not make the nodes to mesh, it would not look good

Okay. I made Hibachi,too. :)

Hibachi works as Openfire.(It has less lightsource, same firesource)

Yes. scorched stuff item is defined as node. (ex: "barbecue:skewermeatx" )
but, if we want to get it, we must use /give command.
(because digging make it coal_lump)
