FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

This is a silly mod that was more of a training exercise than anything useful. You make a body pillow with this recipe:

empty, white wool, empty
red wool, green wool, blue wool
orange wool, violet wool, yellow wool

It looks nice and you can use it as a bed (right-click). To turn it over, shift-click (whatever your sneak button is).

It's harmless fun. The images aren't even slightly explicit.
Humanity really needs to get over it's collective phobia of allusions to sexuality.

Its not just harmless fun, people of all ages read these forums, not just adults.

P.s.: Also, I stumbled in here because I read that as "body bag" and was all like "wow, a new bones mod".

If those images are offensive then kids should not go to the beach.

I don't want to get off-topic, so this'll be my last say.

I think that the world is full of inappropriate stuff, does that mean that kids should see it? No. However, I have no problem e.g. with the beach and bathing suits just so as long as people aren't being....weird...

I'm just sayin, do the textures have to be so inappropriate?

The wife and I are overly protective of our children. We keep them censored, oppressed and living under a rock for the most part.
I just showed them the pillows free of guilt. They thought they were awesome. My daughter (now nine) is putting in her request for a "Littlest Petshop" pillow.

I'm pretty certain my avatar might be more offensive then the images on those pillows.

Well, I'll abide by any community standards on this subject, but you have to keep in mind that the images I used were out on a major open clipart site, so they've already been subject to a certain amount of vetting. Any child with access to google has seen much more explicit stuff already (i.e. any image search), and my personal opinion is that information about sex (even harmlessly deviant stuff) isn't anything to worry about.

[Whew. Sure am glad I remembered to replace the images that I'm actually using.]

Hehe. I thought about trying to make a sexy minecraft character model for the texture, but somewhere along the way, my head exploded.

how about adding some with the sprites of the old 2d minetest monsters. That should be less dodgy than any picture of a human female -

use some pictures of logs, my nephew has some pillows that look like logs and they have fooled me more than once.

yeah, trees and flowers seem safe, maybe cars? or ponys? Ooops, not ponys - that's slippy terrain again. Rocks maybe?

Maybe we should stick to abstract paterns - although some are considered dodgy or downright dangerous

difficult subject nowadays, finding something that annoys nobody.
