Description:This mod allows you to ask questions and it will answer it if you did ask a question it can answer. There are preset questions and answers. You can find out more about the format of the questions in the README file. The purpose of this mod is to help incorporate learning with Minetest. I have seen posts in the past that talk about using Minetest in schools. I figured this could help.

I plan on adding more questions and answers, but I figured I would put out a version 1.

You're welcome, your use is the exact intent!

Maybe a version where people have to answer questions correctly too would be good. Not sure how easy that is but that'd be pretty neat. Also your mod would be great for a glossary to extend the current "/help" command. For example "About?" could give a detailed message about the mod, the webpage/github, etc. I think you are really on to something! Thanks again, my imagination is going wild!

When in game there is a little "about" formspec by typing "/qanda:about". I am planning on adding a page to view mods that admins of RRH create on the RRH server website. rrhmsservers.weebly.com -- Yes this is a Weebly site, but I don't make any money off the page so to buy a domain is counter intuitive. I do plan on adding in-depth descriptions about the mods on the mods page I am working on. The README.md has all the questions you can ask; they are case sensitive. A quiz mod would be cool. It would be something that would require someone with better LUA expertise. If I could learn how to make a quiz mod, I think I would. Don't expect it anytime soon though as I will be continuing to add to this mod. I hope to have over 200 questions when it is all said and done. The /help command in Minetest is more used for finding the format of chat commands so to add the questions to there would not make much sense but still good idea! :)

I meant more like a glossary for the game, another example to the About? would be like "How do I play?" and it could list the important key functions. By expand /help I meant because help is really only about console commands vs with your mod now more detailed info could be provided. Perhaps it could even be expanded into dialog with NPCs or something hmm. Lots of possibilities and I'll be messing with it myself :)
EDIT - another perfect example is the younger kids especially ask me "How do I place blocks?" Now they can ask Minetest :)

What grade do you teach if you don't mind me asking?

Officially 6-8th and unofficially 1st and 2nd.

I have added a feature that allows you to ask how to place nodes, and how to fly and noclip. Depending on what grades you are teaching, the Christopher Columbus question could be controversial. Just letting you know. If you are in the United States, they like teaching elementary students one thing then when you get into Junior-High and High school they teach you another, haha.

I'd be doing my own questions anyway, related to Game Design, thanks for the heads up though!

You teach game design? Would you like any questions about that?

You've already done so much that I think it is probably not worth your time :) I was thinking too maybe it'd be interesting that if a quiz mode does happen that if a question is answered correctly it could unlock something like a block or whatever. Maybe I'm getting too complicated but my imagination is all over the place now thanks to your great idea!

That is actually a really great idea!
