[Mod] [Desertlife] (WIP) [desertlife] (V2)

Hello,
This is my first posted mod; consequently it needs much work.
Much thanks to rubenwardy's Minetest Modding Book for teaching me how to mod.
I need textures for, well, everything.

Don't use this on a multiplayer, or even expect it to be done. This mod was placed in WIP for a reason.

Version 2 adds:
the dry shrub bulb
dry shrubs as fuel
the pickaxe actually cuts...but needs work

This mod is designed to improve life for you folks staking your claim in
those desert parts. It adds a sandstone pickaxe, wood pulp, dry shrub bulb
and crafting recipes involving dry shrubs (hence the bulb)

To-Do:
Add dry shrub bulb -DONE
Create textures for pickaxe and wood pulp
Fix sticks-to-plank recipes...
Add a "Large Stick Bundle" for fuel
Use aforementioned stick bundle in alternated torch recipe

Depends:
default

Download (before I forget it):
https://forum.minetest.net/download/file.php?id=7171

+ Spoiler

Feel free to suggest textures (hint hint)
And please notify me of any bugs, inequivalent crafting recipes, etc..

Thanks for reading,
Pyros

Can you post a screenshot?
Some people would like to see what adds your mod, instead of reading it.

I added the screenshots in the first post. I still really need textures.

I have a few criticisms; which are basically just my opinions,
so take them with a grain of salt.

Burn time for dry shrubs (250) seems excessive.
I would go with (3) maybe, even that is probably stretching it.

you use the same recipe for dry_shrub to make sticks
and dry_shrub to make bulbs.

the craft recipe for sticks to wood planks looks very familiar
I am more than sure this recipe is already in use.
Check Darkage, cottages, or maybe Fachwerk mods.

I also don't like the idea of crafting wood planks from sticks,
I think an alternative material would be better.
Maybe thatch or something, IDK.

Flour from wood pulp also seems weird, but may be possible in RL, IDK.

If you are gonna have a sandstone pick, I think a sandstone shovel would also be useful.

The bulb "grows" a dry shrub; I think a dessert specific flower from the dryshrub would be interesting.
It would also be nice to see some creative uses/recipes for cacti.

EDIT:
okay you already know about the wood planks recipe clash, sorry for mentioning it.
could you choose another license besides public domain?

EDIT2:
I added some textures for testing.

fixed the ABM so when bulbs turn to plants they aren't floating in the air
and added desert sand to neighbors.

fixed typo in the wood planks recipe
and altered the conflicting stick/bulb crafting recipes mentioned above.

Good mod
+1
Would you be able to have wood pulp be crafted to paper?

Nice mod, but has stated by others it needs a license, I would recommend using wtfpl.

I moved away from WTFPL, and over to unlicense for the warranty disclaimer.
