Have you ever thought that protection does ruin you house design, that i makes it look bad. Well this Invisible Protection Block mod is made for you
NO PICTURE (there is no point of picture because its invisible)
it protects 5 blocks in all 6 directions. its the same than all the other protection that most of the servers have the only different is that it is invisible

In that case, area + markers are the best choice. No visible block (markers can be removed), and, IMO, better implementation than protection blocks.
