In this mod:

This mod is intended to be used for server admin shops to sell uncraftable items in order to remove currency from the servers' economy. Because they are consumable, their value should remain relatively high. None of the legendary items have crafting recipes as they are supposed to be a drain on a server's economy (source - drain principle). If they are actually useful, they must be consumable. Useless status symbols such as the Pimp Cane are exempt.

The idea is, as I understand it, that there is a way to remove currency from the game by letting people buy items that can't be crafted. Because they wear out it removes money without flooding the market with items.

Right, it is easy to forget that the purpose isn't immediately obvious. Thanks, Nathan, I have updated the post to be more descriptive. Basically, these are for server admin/spawn shops.
