Nope, no redstone just mesecons. Which is pretty much the same thing, it's made by Jeija and heres the topic link, http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=628 and FYI it's included in a fork named BlockPlanet.

I agree. or we will be full of mythril, diamonds, obsidian etc tools, one better than the other and so on. better keep the normal tools, and maybe try to improve them since the pickaxe still need less time to chop down a tree than a axe lol.

but, if you want to make a mod by yourself nobody can't stop you ^^

I NEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD redstone. It's the only reason I got interested in minecraft, and since my dad wouldn't let me get that I just had to get minetest. No redstone. Pretty boring/annoying/frustrating. See this http://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?pid=94525#p94525 and look at post #599.

Mesecons is the only mod we have for that. If things aren't timing out the way you want, use delayers, microcontrollers, or various combinations of logic gates. People have built a number of well-done, practical, working circuits in mesecons, and as far as I know there's nothing redstone (by itself) can do that mesecons can't.

Power blocks. This is important.
EDIT: I just read about the use of MESE in mesecons.

Ehm, does power plant answer your question?

Um, no. Please read EDIT. Sorry.

Actually if you want something equivalent to redstone's power blocks, a mesecons power plant is the answer, which power any item immediately adjacent to them as long as it faces the right way (don't expect to feed power into the output side of a gate, for example).

Mese blocks are merely conductive, they are not power sources.

No, where power can be applied to a block, like dirt, stone, etc. minus glass.

Mesecons is not an attempt to clone Minecraft Redstone (eg. Mesecons can trasnmit power on an unlimited distance), live with that. Oh also, you can place Mesecons vertically and/or in air.

You can try the redstone in MiniTest, too. It has not so many features (yet), though.
