FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hey all, this is my first mod! I spent a while working on this, and I hope my work pays off (if it does - people like you will be happy and like to use this mod on a wide scale). The mod I have made will not be just stuff in one category, but a lot of new, useful stuff, randomly mixed up (I might separate the objects later, but the mod is still in early production and still has some kinks I need to fix and bugs I need to kill). I have recently added a lot of new stuff, and since I can't break it up into packages or sections, PM me if you want a copy of this with only certain features included. A Longsword, made out of steel. It looks about the same length of a normal sword, but thinner, as the image's size is automatically decreased to fit into the wield slot (hopefully that can be changed later)

--Steel Battle Axe
A battle axe; powerful weapon, but a long duration between hits/blows/strikes

MESE Battle Axe
More powerful than the Steel Battle Axe; lasts longer, and a shorter time between hits/blows/strikes

Steel ladder
Steel ladder, looks like a normal ladder, but it is made of steel

''Elemental'' Magicite Swords (Ice, Fire, Water, Earth - there will be more added)
best swords in this mod (currently) - 5000 uses, 5 damage per hit, very short hit interval...all identical except for label/color/magicite (at this time, the ''type'' of each is only used for one's preference(s), but in the future they may be integrated with elemental mobs)

I tried them all out. Examples:

/giveme morestuff:mineral_xoron 10 --> worked
/giveme morestuff:zeron_lump 10 --> worked
/giveme morestuff:gopper_ingot 10 --> worked
/giveme morestuff:sword_bloodsword 10 --> Well, only got 1, but works the same as for (for example) a mese pick.

cool! and thank you for trying the /give command, I must have done something that made it legit while I was preparing it for the public, but I don't know...thank you. Do you have any suggestions or anything? I have plenty of time to work on this.

That's a nice More Ores clone you have there... it would be a shame if something happened to it.

...do you even think players are able to get to -2000 or -3000 without using fly/fast? Also, did you test swords' damages?

Calinou: the INIT.LUA file can be changed to make it easier to get the ores (I will post directions tomorrow on how to do that), but I set it as -2000 and -3000 so that if it is used in a multiplayer server, it is very difficult for griefers to get to the stuff without (1.) using up all of their attack time searching for the stuff they need, and (2.) they will either just leave after doing minimal damage or blend in with the rest of the players, and turn from their evil ways as they mine for the precious minerals. PLUS, there are some people on ecube's multiplayer server who have made mines and gone below -1500 a lot of times, and maybe even deeper than that...so it is possible to go even deeper.
And yes, I have tested the damage, kinda...but I still need a willing person to download the mod I am working on, and test it in multiplayer and see how it does.

I also want to make the reactor where that you right-click it, put a naqueda lump in it, and it generates energy for a long time, and when time runs out, a naqueda lump is converted into toxic waste...I don't know anything about making right-click menus, so I will need some help.

The longsword idea was inspired during the construction of Linxx's PvP arena in ecube's server, at which time Linxx commented that it would be nice to have longswords.
I am about to separate the modification into separate pieces, so you can install the parts that you want.

ESnips requires an .exe to be downloaded before you can download anything.

EDIT: you probably are referring to ''naqueda''. No, I found the word while I was looking up stuff about minerals and crystals for more minerals in my mod.

Well, I don't really interact much on the forum now, all I do is update my mods, because I found out that someone is actually using my first mod on their server :D

Bug: the sword of blood takes only 1/2 heart.
