FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hi folks, here's my first message on the forum.
I'm looking for a mod which adds some mobs for playing in survival mode. I've searched on the forum, but people usually suggest the animals mod. I'm looking for something more similar to the original mobs, which have been removed in the new versions of Minetest. The animals mod adds a lot of features i'm not interested to. Any suggestions? :-)

Those mobs sfan5 linked to are passive, though. Keep that in mind.

What do you mean with "passive"? They don't attack the player?
p.s.:
I guess so, they don't attack or provoke damage. Is there any way to solve it?

You could pick and choose some monsters from the animals mod. You don't need to install the whole modpack. Pick the DM and the Vombie, for instance.
