FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hello.

I have made a port town, but need some things:

- Is there a way to add some kind of boat or ship? Even a raft will do for now.
- Is there a way that you can make a shop that can sell different things at different prices? I tried locked shop but unfortunately it can only sell one class of node.
- Can I block people from modifying the town, but still let them create a house of their own? Also on that, is there any way you can buy/sell these lands, for example using the money mod?
- Can I add NPCs to the town? For example, I want a bartender for the tavern, and an innkeeper.
- Is there any mod I can use to add ambient sounds to my world? I mean, when the player is near the port, gull and sea sounds would play.


Sincerelly, I have a lot more questions. What would be cool is to transform Minetest into some kind of MMORPG with dungeon crawls and the like.

There's a very basic raft mod on this game mode http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3003 you could edit it to make the way you want

i guess you could use http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2800 but it would need adjusts

Well, just tested 'em.

• The raft mod is very basic as you said, but at least it gets the work done :)
• The node ownership mod is very good.
• The ambient mod is just plain awesome, but somehow it takes 10 seconds to start in singleplayer when the mod is installed (it takes about 2 seconds without it), and sometimes crashes the game as well.

Do you have any recommendations for the other items?
