FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

It kind of bothers me that the last 10 topics in modding general are just questions like "can I add this". Why not have a questions subforum so that modding general isn't spammed with topics that aren't even about modding?

Modding general is supposed to be questions. Well that's what I thought, cos real mods get moved to releases. Non modding questions should go in general.

However if you can convince c55 to make a new forum for such posts then I wont complain.

I already post all my questions in my questions topic others can use it if they want I'll change the name:-)

Bummer! The mod questions thread has finally exploded. It’s now 552 posts long. That’s a lot! And I observed that it is sometimes difficult to maintain discussions there. Because, in reality, its about three topics at once sometimes. And why has it exploded? Because there’s no subforum, of course! And most modding questions are frowned upon anywhere in the forum unless they are shoehorned into this monster of a thread. I think that this is not very efficient. ;-)

I agree fully with the thread starter and just repeat it once again: Please open a new subforum, things will become much easier for all of us then. And also close that monster thread, since it would not be needed anymore.

I feel not sorry for digging out such an old thread, because the problem is still there. :-P

I disagree; question topics can be posted in "Modding General". I have no idea why people started posint all in topic.

I really wanted it. Now I ask avontade!

Is there any mod to display an image? Map or mod?

If this is the case, then it must have been a misunderstanding.

Whatever, this still does not mean that a questions subforum would not be something helpful. ;-) Modding General is the 2nd largest subforum (in amount of posts) atm.

I’ll be posting my future questions as seperate topics into Modding General as long as Modding Questions does not exist yet.

Seems I changed my mind in 11 months.

It'll be horrible to have a few hundred topics, probably asking one, most likely simple and already answered question. Who would bother to open all these pages and answer all of this. The idea is just disgusting. Might as well make a subforum for every member allowing them to ask their questions.
