[Mod] 3D Animated NPC [1.5]

A suprisingly good NPC that I made.

it has support for all animations that players use.

Spawn it with a spawn egg! /giveme npc:spawnegg

Currently they have 4 states: walking and standing
1.) Standing around - they'll just sit there and stare at you
2.) Walking around - they'll just walk around randomly
3.) Attacking - When you punch them, they'll chase after you, and mob up
4.) Super Hostile - from 0 through 6000 they'll chase after you

Cool, now we can have NPC's! In future, would it be possible for the player to give NPC's order's to craft, build and harvest, or even mine for the player?

I updated it, now mobs have 2 states, walking, and standing!

When they're standing, they'll stare at you!

They can navigate the terrain aimlessly by themselves!

Spawn 'em with spawn eggs! /giveme npc:spawnegg

sweet. Now I'm going to make Herobrine. Or endermen, since the whole thing about them staring at you if you're close could be endermen-esque.

add more than 1 NPC, make them have different skins
i was going to do that by copying out init.lua out many times but i know there are more efficient ways of doing it.
can you make folders to put the textures in and provide a basic "modding environment" so people can set their own nodenames, models and descriptions. make a "list" that you can add to init.lua and make so looks like this:
npc:<npcname> <textures> <description>

Maybe you should think about using the Simple Mobs API.

if you could not assign any texture to the extra added npcs, but make a folder containing the "chosen" textures, that would be great.

at last we can have honeydew and xephos in minetest!

Is there a way to make it so that mobs and NPCs will fight each other?

It would be nice if we could give the NPCs personalities along the lines of what is present in The Sims series (and even pick their skins.)

now mobs naturally spawn

I wish there was a way to set each entity to have it's own light value

Great :-) Now they have to learn some behaviour (moving around, interacting with players) and be merged with some other mods (towntest like someone mentioned) and the inhabitants I dream of could come true :-)

The NPC's can also have personalities, like getting scared of monster's.
They could also play the game like singleplayer, like building a house mining for ore's, basicly copying singleplayer :)
EDIT: Im thinking of making them work in my underwater base lol. :D
EDIT2: The NPC's work great! I am making one monitor my war room, but he is jumping around lol :)

Is it possible to make the player have a different texture than the NPC. When I tried to put separate textures the NPC texture is also on the regular player.
