I made Santa in minetest! Merry christmas! :D

He'll walk around and drop coal!

Spawn him with the santa spawner! /giveme santa:santa_spawner

The Santas are suicidal. I put several around a Christmas tree that was built on my server, and a few jumped off the cliff. The rest left so many coal lumps that the server threw errors about too many objects existing in the same space. That's what I get for spawning about thirty-two Santas, when everyone knows there is only one real Santa.

The errors were my bad, but maybe you should build a wall to keep Santa from jumping to his doom before you spawn him.

lol could add in a "christmas tree" to this mod and whenever santa sees said tree, if time is night then drop "chests" of goodies or some other item "next to tree". Of course not sure how possible such would be.

There is a christmas mod I updated on the forum with lights and some decorations.

Maybe you can make him place a "present" with a 1x1 inventory which contains a random tool, item etc...

and for the next update santa drop a present when we left clicking it we got something

5 year old loved this mod, thought it was hilarious, spawned a buttload of Santas in the 9 year olds house.

If it is truly random, some greifer will eventually get default:cloud or someone not techincal gets `ignore`.

If you look at the date of the last post before yours, it was in 2012. Most likely the mod is so old that parts of it are broken in the newer versions of minetest. It would need to be updated and since this is the first time I have seen it, it's likely that no one wanted to do so. Plus I don't know what license the code and images use so it might not be able to be updated and re-uploaded. If you have the skills or want to learn the skills, you could update it for just yourself if you wanted to.
