Lol in the video the eyes and mouth were floating. I suggest make them freindly, they could spawn in caves and the player could adopt them as
his/her pet. have them harvest materials for you, and speak to you.

they move around the face because all it is is slime, if it jiggled it might as well have their eyes and mouth fall right off when it hopped.

Idk, but I believe you could add a particle spawner or group of particles at the LOCATION of the entity.

I wasn't complaining (at least it's not meant to be a complaint) I just didn't know if you knew that someone else had made a similar mod. Also, I hadn't tried the mod yet because I was using a slow computer.
Anyway, I wish it were possible for entities to glow.

slimes are now tamable, tame them with papyrus, and see what happens!

Hm... could you release the code under a free license (e.g. WTFPL, Expat, or GPL)? I don't mind the non-functional data being merely sharable, but the code being nonfree is unacceptable.

I'm going to keep the code non-free until the mod is done, I don't want ugly mods with unfinished code. but you can make your own personal mods!

You probably have a folder nested too deep.
It should be this:
/mods/minetest/slime/init.lua
NOT THIS:
/mods/minetest/slime/slime/init.lua
