New Block Idea (useful for traps)

I would really like to see a block added that shoots an arrow, fireball, or something that hurts a player on contact. It could fire when it receives power (by using the Mesecons mod).

That way, you could use the Player/Object Detector block to detect a player and send power to the block that shoots. You could also use the Delayer to shoot multiple times at a certain speed.

Question: Can you set the Object Detector box to turn on only if it is not the specified player? That way I could have it not shoot when I am in the room, but shoot if anyone else is in the room.

You talking about a Dispenser? well I think we should have it called something new, if we have one made anytime soon.

Not necessary, if by dispenser you mean, you have to load it with arrows. We could, if we wanted, have it set up to not need to be loaded it just has an infinite supply.

As for the block name, I am not sure what it should be called.

FYI, we could also set it up to shoot laser beams. :D

You had me at Laser beams lol!!

How about we call it Mispenser since we should have it Crafted out of Mese :)

But unlimited will be great for my Zelda Game since I need some stuff unlimited, all you have to do is, load the Mispenser with one item and set, how much it uses, maybe 1-unlimited to have it unlimited you will have to, type in -1 since -1 Means Unlimited in programing well for this one game I play it is.

Thanks for the link! That is really cool looking, although I have not got to try it yet. I would like to see it support the Mesecons mod though. That way, you could set it up to only attack certain people, and could turn it on/off with a lever as desired. I don't like how it attacks the owner.

Although, since it does not shoot through blocks, can it see a player through blocks? If it can't see a player through blocks that would work great because you could put the turrets behind ghoststone that is powered by an object detector. Which would almost be the same as it supporting the Mesecons mod.

As far as the dispenser (aka Mispenser or maybe MESEnator lol) goes it would still be neat to see it implemented, so you could have it shoot only one direction (like with arrows, because a turret that is advanced enough to target a player, would not shoot arrows, it would shoot something more advanced) and be able to adjust if it needs loaded or not.
