[mod] roofing [roof]

This mod adds 3 roof pieces, corner, edge, and inner corner. It's the only mod that has corner roof pieces.
Depends: default

Shingles:
craft 2 gravel, one sand and one coal lump anywhere on the crafting grid
corner:

I like the nodes that come with this mod. I hope homedecor's roof nodes will be like this one day. One concern I do have is that nodebox models draw all of the faces of their cubes regardless of whether they are exposed or not. For performance reasons, the fixing of this should be looked into, but first it must be determined how this can be done.

I actually made this mod because there are no corner roof pieces in homedecor. it was originally going to be just an add-on to homedecor, but I couldn't figure out a way to make the blocky corners not stand out from the smooth edges in homedecor without using too many nodeboxes.

Can you post a few screenshots? I had the same problem and did a slightly modified stairs node for the actual roof plus a stair node to connect to walls in my cottages mod.

I am almost done adding top roof pieces, so you can have a roof that is an odd number of nodes high, and I am thinking about adding double inner corner pieces

Hey 12Ne21, The nodebox shape of the roofing mod you have atm is also in noncubic. I am working on noncubic mod to act more like an api. That way modders can easily add certain shaped nodes and set the detail(amount of steps).

Far from done but i implemented a register roof as example in it already. I prefer this method as it it more generic. This way modders do not have to reinvent the wheel everytime they want nodes with certain stairlike/slopelike shapes.
