On some computers, the inventory images are mixed up, and when you go on servers it is ever worse. This makes it harder to organize your stuff and find stuff in your inventory. Then I figured out that all craft items and some nodes always showed the right image because they had an inventory image, and minetest didn't have to (try to) make inventory image cubes for them. I made a "mod" a while ago that fixed it, but the inventory images looked worse on fast computers, and no one cared (even though many people complain about the problem). I am now making a new version that looks the same on fast computers, and It shows the right images on slower computers. It should be ready today or tomorrow.

I hope this mod is able to solve that problem for good. If it is, then it should be added to the default game of Minetest.

me too, but the problem is that if you add a mod or make new textures, then you will need to remake the inventory images again.

I've been waiting for something like this for a while. I do hope it works.
